Canthal tilt

Tap four eye corners on a photo to measure your tilt. The photo never leaves your device.

Use a photo taken at eye level, head straight, chin neither raised nor lowered. Zoom in for accurate corners. Keyboard: Tab to the photo, move with the arrow keys (Shift for bigger steps), Enter to place.

Place all four points to see your tilt. We measure against the line between your inner eye corners, so a slightly tilted head doesn't skew the result.

How it works

  • Measures the angle from each inner eye corner to its outer corner.
  • Uses the line between your two inner corners as “level”, so a slightly tilted head doesn't skew the result.
  • Studies put typical adult averages between about +1° and +9.5°.

Keep in mind

A lowered chin makes tilt read higher, and a raised chin lower. Only surgery changes tilt; sleep, brows and photo angle change how eyes read.
