These terms are an agreement between you and Ascend (“Ascend”). By creating an account or using the site, you agree to them.
You must be 18 or older. Only scan photos of yourself. One account per person.
Face scans, the AI Coach, guides, tools and forum posts are general information, not medical, dermatological or dental advice. Scans and Coach replies are generated by AI. A rating is an AI's opinion of how a face reads in one photo, not an objective measurement or a judgment of your worth, and it can be wrong, especially with poor lighting or angles. Tiers like “HTN” are forum slang based on that rating. Talk to a qualified professional before starting prescription treatments, procedures or supplements.
The face scan is not offered to residents of Illinois, Texas or Washington, and you may not use it if you live there. Purchases with a billing address in those states are refunded automatically. Each scan needs your separate face-data consent; see the Face Data Policy. Only scan photos of yourself.
You own your posts and give Ascend a license to display them on the site. Don't post photos or ratings of minors, other people's photos without consent, harassment, hate, spam, fake reviews, or instructions for dangerous practices like bonesmashing, DIY injectables or sourcing steroids. We may remove content or accounts that break these rules.
Some product links are affiliate links. We may earn a commission if you buy, at no extra cost to you. It doesn't affect what we recommend.
You can delete your account anytime from your account page. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.
Ascend is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect damages or for decisions you make based on scans, the Coach, guides or posts, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the last 12 months. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer protection law that can't be waived.
Please contact us first; most problems get solved quickly. If we can't resolve a dispute informally within 60 days, you and Ascend agree to resolve it by binding individual arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, instead of in court, except that either side may bring an individual claim in small-claims court. You and Ascend each give up the right to a jury trial and to take part in a class action, class arbitration or representative action. You can opt out of this section within 30 days of creating your account by emailing us that you opt out of arbitration. If this section is found unenforceable for a claim, that claim goes to the courts named below.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, USA, except where your local consumer law says otherwise.
If we change these terms in a meaningful way, we'll update the date above and tell signed-in users before the change takes effect.
